About me

I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space, where you can talk through your issues in confidence. I believe that the quality of the relationship between yourself and your counsellor is key in supporting you in the difficult task of exploring your difficulties, whatever those may be.  I will strive to build a relationship with you that is caring, compassionate and respectful so that you can feel listened to and understood.

My approach is integrative and relational.  My integrative background enables me to draw from a combination of theories and techniques to try and really tailor my work to your particular needs and circumstances. Being a relational counsellor means that I will try to understand, in collaboration with you,  your relational world and its role in how you are currently feeling and living.  I firmly believe that the quality of our relationships has a huge bearing on most aspects of our lives.  My work will therefore often focus on exploring and trying to strengthen your relationships with yourself, your friends and family - and your wider environment.

I work with a wide range of issues, such as bereavement and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem etc. In addition to my private practice, I offer counselling in a bereavement charity and a GP surgery.
Feel free to get in touch and we can figure out whether we would be suited to work together.
